I was given the task of writing and illustrating a children's book. I decided to write something set in contemporary times as well as implementing a plot centered around societal issues and natural disasters (deforestation & wild fires). Peter Pine is a pine tree who lives in the California wilderness who is one day visited by Roy, a wandering young boy. Peter and Roy develop a strong friendship that is then put through the test of time and other trials of adversity.
