This project was constructed with the task of selecting a contemporary social issue and articulating the idea through a series of posters to raise awareness. I chose the Black Lives Matter movement due to its current state of importance in my life and in the world today. By combining history and the contemporary through the use of halftone imagery, I was able to encapsulate the troubling history that African Americans have faced for hundreds of years and are still facing today.
